£45 could pay for an English class for up to 26 women to attend, ensuring language is not a barrier for survivors to move on. Confidence and competency in English allows survivors to engage in their community and form friendships helping reduce social isolation. It also opens doors for further education and employment in the UK.
£100 could provide 6 months worth of material for our weekly sewing class. Sewing classes provide the opportunity to learn new practical skills, they encourage freedom of expression through design and creation of products, and can also be a calming activity for those suffering with anxiety or depression.
